The Heroes 4GTA Program aims to ensure that all young girls, boys, and women in nine hard-to-reach districts of Uganda, including Mbale, fully enjoy their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and live in a gender-equal society free from sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). To achieve this goal, the project is implemented in close collaboration with district leadership.The Mbale Network of Young People Living with HIV (MNYPA) implements this program in three sub-counties of Mbale District: Industrial Division, Bukiende, and Busiu Subcounty. The initiative, carried out with technical and financial support from Amref Health Africa-Uganda, involves working with health facilities, primary schools, and community groups comprising men and women.
