The Amref Health Africa in Uganda, Cordaid, International Centre for Research on Women, and MUFUMI collaborate to deliver the integrated Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Programme in Selected High Burdened Districts (ISPHD) Program. The program's goal is to enhance the wellbeing of young people (10–24) and women (age 15–49), including underserved groups, by providing them with SRHR services, empowering local communities to reject the causes of SRHR violations and SGBV, and bolstering the response to SGBV in nine difficult-to-reach districts. The program also operates in the subcounties of Mbale Industrial Division, Bukiende, and Busiu through Mbale Network of Young People Living with HIV. In order to increase demand for, access to, and utilization of SRHR/SGBV services in Bukiende Sub County, MNYPA hosted a community mobilization workshop there. At Bukiende HCIII, 40 young people gathered in a youth area where they participated in workshops on safe abortion practices, effective condom usage, and the advantages of using condoms to avoid unintended pregnancies. The Mbale Network of Young People Living with HIV, under the direction of Peers from HEROES 4GTA, led this workshop. Adolescent Girls and Young Women were exposed by Senior Midwife of Bukiende Sub County Namono Tapisa to the fundamentals of safe parenting, including vaccination, breastfeeding, antenatal, nutrition, and post natal care. The HEROES 4GTA team pledged to organize funds to outfit the facility's Youth Corner with the necessary amenities so that young people may frequently gather there to interact, share knowledge, and have fun. The crew from HEROES 4GTA was thanked by the facility manager, who was represented by Namono Tapisa, a middle-aged woman, for securing the tent that supports youth activities at the facility. The management of the institution promised to designate 2 health workers to always support educational programs in the youth corner.
